森林では、苔から水滴が落ちる音からクマが鼻をフンフンいわせる音まで様々な不思議な音がします。春先にバートレット・コーブ（Bartlett Cove）を訪れると、アオライチョウのホーホーという声が聞こえます。保護色なため、一目見ようと探している内にすぐに一時間など経ってしまいますが、オスのライチョウが他のオスを縄張りから追い出し、メスの心を射止めるためにぐっと胸を張り、力一杯鳴く様子は見事なもので、一旦見つけると、苦労して探した甲斐があると思うことでしょう。

森林的声音引人入胜，又可以激发人的兴趣，从苔藓掉落的声音到熊抽鼻子的声音。但任何在夏天来Bartlett Cove(巴列特湾)的游客都不会错过Blue Grouse(蓝松鸡)低沉的，“唔咐，唔咐，唔咐”的猫头鹰般的叫声。为了找寻这个神秘的家伙，花个把小时是很容易的，最后你终于看到它鼓起身体，声嘶力竭地喊叫——警告其他雄鸡远离它的领地，同时吸引雌鸡来它的地盘。

Los sonidos del bosque son fascinantes e intrigantes, desde el goteo del agua sobre el musgo, hasta el profundo aliento de un oso. Pero ningún visitante estival de Barlett Cove se puede perder el profundo "wof, wof, wof" del urogallo azul 'bocina'. Es muy fácil pasar una hora buscando a este enigmático ejemplar para poder echarle un vistazo en pleno clamor, encrespándose y graznando a todo pulmón – avisando a otros machos para que permanezcan fuera de su territorio y que no cautiven a sus hembras.

Forest sounds are bewitching and intriguing, from dripping moss to snuffling bear. But any summer visitor to Bartlett Cove can’t miss the deep “whoof, whoof, whoof” of a Blue Grouse 'hooter'. It’s easy to spend an hour searching for this cryptic fellow and finally catch a glimpse of him puffing up and hooting his heart out – warning other males to stay off his turf and charming females into his territory.
