A moose skull with antlers rests on a beach in Glacier Bay. I made sure to take plenty of photos of this before I let my kids check it out. I always like to document the scene first, before mucking around and investigating it. The kids sure had a good time with it! It was way bigger than the oldest which was around 12 at the time. Between the two of them they were able to pick it up and look at it more closely. Moose will shed their antlers every winter until their last. I don’t know what caused this bull to pass on, but it did so in a beautiful and wild place. Photographer: Sean Neilson
