A magnificent bull moose, displaying a large set of mature antlers, is captured foraging for food in the late fall. Standing tall amidst the foreground habitat, its powerful form is contrasted by the distant, snow-capped grandeur of Mount Bertha in Glacier Bay's Fairweather Range. This particular bull is actually outside of the park’s boundaries in nearby Gustavus. Hunting season has just passed, so this bull will live to see another year—possibly wandering in and out of the park. Wild animals like this one are unencumbered by arbitrary boundaries created by people. Photographer: Sean Neilson
