One of Glacier Bay's newest totem poles, dedicated in the summer of 2025 at the Bartlett Cove dock. This pole looks north into Glacier Bay, the homeland of the Huna Tlingit. Haa Léelk'w Hás Éil'i Kootéeyaa (Our Grandparents' Ocean Totem Pole) This shot is taken near sunset in late summer. The skies during this time often take on a lavender hue and the mountains can turn pink. Some of these colors are reflected in the colors of the pole itself. The pole will never be as vibrant as when first installed, but will take on new character with age. Photographer: Sean Neilson
