Two brown bears stand and threaten each. Fights like this are not often witnessed. In this case, one bear was defending her twin cubs who crossed paths with a second adult bear in the intertidal / beach zone of Glacier Bay. They went back and forth for what seemed like was a long time, but in reality, the tussle lasted less than a minute. During that time, a lot of information was passed back and forth and the messages were received. Each bear continued on their way as if nothing had happened. Photographer: Sean Neilson
