Phone Support
The red drives have a USB-C connector that can be plugged into a modern phone's charging port. You will probably have to remove your phone's case for the USB to be fully seated.
Android 7 and higher phone
Android 7 OS and higher for newer (post-2016) phones should support using a USB-C flash drive connected to the charging port. Best to remove your phone's case. After connecting the drive you should see a message that says something like "USB drive added" or "USB storage device". Then swipe up from the bottom or open search and search for "Files". The first options will probably be "My Files". While this app can be used to copy the photos it does not have the ability to open links. You could use it to copy the Digital Image folders or the entire drive to your phone. Once the full drive is on your phone the captions pages on the phone will link properly.
To view the captions directly from the flash drive you will need a "File manager app" such as "Files by Google" or a third party file manager such as "File Manager +". Another option is to just copy the Digital Image folders to your phone and view the captions on the internet, here: Web Access
Not every android phone brand has the ability to view USB drives enabled. The functionality is called "OTG". If nothing happens when you plug your USB drive into the case-less phone you will need to enable OTG. This will be in Setup options under "Storage" or "Additional Settings" - unfortunately every phone brand is a little different. If you can't quickly find these options do an internet search for "how to enable OTG on xxxx" where xxxx is your brand and model of phone.
iPhone 15 and higher
Plug the drive into the charging port and open the native "Files" app. The drive should appear under "Locations". You can then view or copy the files.
Connected! What next?
If you just want the photos you can copy folders \Digital-Images and \Digital-Images-for-Phones to your phone. But the photos are much more interesting if you view them with the captions written by the photographer. In the root of the drive there is a file called '1-Start_Here-English.html'. If you double click on this file it should open in your internet browser. It contains links to the Galleries that display the captions. This will show you the photos and captions as long as the drive is connected to your phone. If you want you can copy the entire contents of the flash drive to your phone. This would give you long-term access to the captions, and the photos. You could also copy only the photos you want to your phone.
Web Access to View the Captions
A great option for veiwing the captons is to visit our Web Access link. Web Access contains the full contents of the flash drive, on the web. One advantage of Web Access is the able to swipe left and right to scroll through the photos. On the web the high resolution photos are reduced from what you get on the flash drive but you'll probably not notice the difference.
You may want a 'hybrid' use of your drive... copy the folders with the images to your device, but use the website to browse the captions.
